Ever since I planted a petunia in a juice can as a second-grader, I've been fascinated with the natural world. After all these years, I'm still planting petunias--and much more. My goal as a garden writer is to help others get more enjoyment (and vegetables) from their gardening efforts.
Among my gardening and writing accomplishments...growing blue ribbon-winning vegetables, writing an award-winning book called Blue Ribbon Vegetable Gardening, helping gardeners with my Colorado Gardener's Companion, being invited to speak at gardening conferences and becoming a gardening instructor for an international audience with my Craftsy online class. I'm a certified master gardener and former contributing editor for Fine Gardening’s vegetable growing website.
